To raise funds for disadvantaged youths by hosting an engaging, community focused Renaissance event.
Our Mission and Vision – The Quest
Our main focus is to reach out to disadvantaged. We would like to also work with the local school systems, churches and social services to target this audience to encourage them to get involved with the Renaissance time period in return encourage the development of positive self image and self discipline while building confidence and character.
We propose, through the medium of a fun filled, highly entertaining learning experience, as an enjoyable way to educate and we are dedicated to bringing that atmosphere to the Door County Renaissance Faire.
Development of this approximately 6 acre privately owned farm land surrounded by another 20 acres of natural preserved woods in central Door County WI will allow participants to gain insight and appreciation into the era known as the Renaissance with live interactive demonstrations presented in an entertaining way designed with the purpose of helping all ages retain what they have learned.
We desire The Door County Renaissance Faire to inspire, educate and enrich the lives of youth, disabled, local residents, tourists and visitors alike.
In addition to this event, we desire and expect to work with the school systems to encourage students to learn about this time period by providing educational programs such as this event, fund raising being our focal point for the schools and community.
Make history an interactive learning experience for young and old alike, bringing history to life.
Provide a venue for actors, artisans, musicians, to showcase their talents and wares in live, interactive demonstrations and hands on experiences for attendees. Demonstrations ranging from blacksmithing, historical encampments, pewter work, glass blowing, leather crafting, spinning & weaving, to games, weaponry, dress, acting and music of the period. Knights teaching young “squires” and the secrets of knighthood. Young girls learning the arts of graceful curtsies “ladies in waiting” in the Queen‘s Royal Court, and then there's pirates, we mustn't forget the pirates.
Create opportunities for community involvement – for handy capped and the youth
Bring revenue to the community through faire-goers and participants frequenting local businesses during the faire (hotels, restaurants, stores, site-seeing, etc.)
Provide a venue for various other non-profit 501C3 organizations to raise funds and/or awareness for their group within the event as food/drink vendors, and yes Entertainment!

We Seek Charitable Organizations
We encourage charitable organizations to participate within the Renaissance Faire such as food/drink vendors or possibly to raise funds in other ways for your organization. There will be a venders FEE to set up, and all products/services must be approved by the faire organization committee in advance. All profits made by your group will remain yours.
We Seek Volunteers
Don’t just watch history – live it with us! Were you born 700-800 years too late? Dreaming of being a Lord or Lady of the bygone era, or perhaps a pirate, fairy, mermaid, and so many other intrepid characters within your imagination? Consider becoming a part of this unique experience.
So far The Door County Renaissance Faire is staffed by volunteers so that a large portion of the profits may be donated to local charities. Click on to our (volunteer) page for more information.
**If you have experience with this type of event, have musical talent or stage experience, construction, sales/marketing, sewing or language skills, and wish to help in any other way, please contact us! But, experience is not necessary, many jobs simply require willing people. *Many hands make light work* Use our contact page if you desire to take part in this adventure.

Old or unused (but in good shape) building materials
Period clothing or materials that could be used to make clothing – Fabrics such as cotton, muslin, silks, satins, brocades and velvets, leather and “pleather
Old costume jewelry (cut glass) and/or other props from this time period

We encourage financial donations at any time, which goes towards food, turkey legs, yum, soda, water, ticket cost, insurance for the grounds, paying entertainers, our jousting teams which travel from afar, waste management, port-a-potties, maintaining the stages, props, and so much more.
